In order to meet funding agency requirements a large multi-national engineering company needed to improve the quality of their Apprentice Progress Reviews. EBTI facilitated a 3 day problem-solving session, and worked with the company's management team to define practical and robust solutions to balance all stakeholder requirements.
The proposed solution was based around a Learner Review Database. The Company commissioned the intervention, which comprised of the bespoke software component together with a tailored training program to equip the training team to administer the system and train further users (reviewers), to deliver standardised learner reviews.
With data collated and analysed centrally, the system provides accurate, detailed and timely information on individual learner progress, collated management reports, that better support trainees' needs, and information to help target developments to improve the overall level of service. The new system provides a secure, auditable account of learner progress and satisfied funding agency requirements.
The EBTI system is acknowledged by the training facility and funding agency as an effective means of collating critical performance data and ensures that ongoing legislative requirements and best practices are applied in carrying out learner reviews, through a managed plan of upgrades and updates.
